Greening the Festival
Reuse, Reduce, Recycle -
The LA Acoustic Music Festival is committed to a ‘leave no trace’ policy. From our stage being powered by generators running on sustainable bio-diesel fuel, recycling of aluminum, glass and paper, to our concession food being served in biodegradable containers manufactured from corn, and all show magazines printed on 100% recycled paper, we are dedicated to producing a low carbon footprint.
What you can do:
1) Carpool or bicycle to the festival if at all possible. Use Ride Amigos to find a Ride Share partner (see "Ride Sharing" under Festival Info)
2) Utilize the recycling bins throughout the festival, and respect the bin labels (only glass in the glass recycle bin, etc)
3) We had originally asked for everyone to bring a cup to the festival, and water stations would be provided around the site to cut down on waste. We are unable to do that due to Health Dept regulations, so please be very careful about using recycling bins for water bottles. Awareness makes changes for the better - we can all work to get these kinds of regulations changed in the future, and therefore create a more eco-friendly world.
With your help we can do our part to make the LA Acoustic Music Festival an environmentally friendly festival!
